I oktober kom Amit Srivastava, koordinator for India Resource Center og direktør for Global Resistance, til Norge som gjest av Attac Norge. Etter å ha reist rundt på norske universiteter og høyskoler i en uke for å fortelle om vannforbruk og forurensning ved Coca-Cola sine fabrikker i India, tok han seg også tid til å snakke med Vann og konflikter.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico
16.-22. mars gikk den fjerde World Water Forum av stabelen i Mexico by under parolen ”Local Actions for Global Change”. World Water Forum skjer hver tredje år i regi av World Water Council, en internasjonal tenketank etablert i 1996 som består av næringsliv, forskningsinstitusjoner, internasjonale finansinstitusjoner og vann- og energidepartementer verden over.
The Swedish Multi-stakeholder Dialogue on the WCD Recommendations
During 2004 and 2005 a dialogue process among a broad group of stakeholders – industry, government, academics and NGOs – has been taking place in Sweden. The purpose has been to develop a common policy on large-scale water infrastructure development – a national level follow-up intiative to discuss the recommendations from the World Commission on Dams (WCD).
